Man and van, Erith and around
The smaller end of the work. A room, a student move, a flat's worth of furniture, a collection from a marketplace seller, or one heavy thing that will not go in a car. Two people, a van, booked by the job.
A lot of what gets asked for in Erith is smaller than a house move. Someone leaving a shared flat, a bedroom going across town, a fridge-freezer that needs two people and a tail lift. Man and van covers it — same crews and the same blankets, just a smaller vehicle and a shorter day.
What it is good for

What it is not good for
A well-filled one-bed is about the top of it. Beyond that you are paying for two trips and a long afternoon, which is more than a proper house removal would have cost and takes longer. Describe the load honestly when you write in and we will tell you which side of the line you are on — we would rather send the right vehicle than the smaller one.
The awkward bits, around here
Small loads often come out of the hardest buildings. Fourth-floor walk-ups in converted terraces. Flats over shops with a single narrow door onto a busy pavement. Communal entrances that need a fob and somebody to hold them open.
So we ask the same short list every time: which floor, is there a lift, how wide is the stairwell turn, and where can the van legally stand. That conversation at the booking stage prevents nearly every problem that shows up on the day. More on that on the flat removals page.
Booking
Give us both addresses, a list or a photo of what is going, and the floor at each end. If it is straightforward we can usually confirm without visiting. Weekends and month-ends go first; a weekday slot is easier to get and easier to park.

Small-move questions
Is it one person or two?
Two, on anything with furniture in it. One person and a van works for boxes and nothing else. A sofa down three flights is not a one-person job and pretending it is gets furniture and people damaged.
Do you help carry?
Yes — that is the job. If you genuinely just want a van and a driver while you carry, say so and we will price it that way, but it is not what most people mean.
Can you collect something I bought online?
Regularly. Send the collection address, the delivery address and a photo of the item. The photo matters: if it will not fit through your door we would rather know before the van sets off.
Do you do student moves?
Yes, and the ends of terms are the busy weeks. A room and a few boxes is quick once we know the floor and where the van can stand.
When does it stop being the cheap option?
Around a full one-bed flat. Past that it turns into two trips and a long day, at which point a proper removal costs less and takes less time. We will tell you when you have crossed that line.
