Covering DA8 and the Bexley riverside
Moving in Erith, made simple.
We are a local removals firm working Erith and the streets around it — the terraces off Bexley Road, the flats above the town centre, the riverside estates, and everything out towards Slade Green and Northumberland Heath. House moves, flat moves, man-and-van work, and moves that carry on into Europe.
Packing, storage and weekend slots available — mention what you need when you write in.

The local bit
Erith moves, handled with care
Erith packs a lot of different housing into a small area, and each kind asks something different of a removals crew. The Victorian terraces behind the town centre have narrow hallways and no driveways. The flats — both the older blocks and the newer riverside ones — come down to lifts and stairwells. The postwar estates out towards Northumberland Heath are roomier but the carry from the road can be long.
None of that is difficult once you know it. All of it is a problem if you turn up expecting a driveway and find a shared stairwell.
Terraces and town-centre streets
Off Bexley Road, Fraser Road, the streets running down towards the station. On-street parking that fills early, hallways a wardrobe will not turn in, and back gardens that are sometimes the better route for the shed contents.
Flats, low-rise and high
The bulk of our small jobs. What decides the day is the lift — its door width more than its floor area — and whether there is a legal spot near the communal door. Where the lift is too small, the staircase decides the crew size, and that is a question we ask up front.
Riverside and newer estates
The Erith Riverside developments and the newer builds behind them are among the easiest addresses in the borough: loading bays, goods lifts, wide corridors. Some have booking systems for the lift — tell us if yours does.
Estates and family houses
Northumberland Heath, Slade Green and the Barnehurst side. Driveways more often than not, bigger volumes than people estimate because the loft and the garage are usually coming too.
Why people book us
The unglamorous things that decide a move
We look before we lift
Somebody checks the floor, the lift, the staircase turn and where a vehicle can legally stand. It goes in the quote rather than being discovered on the morning.
Blankets on everything
Furniture is wrapped, corners and door frames are protected, and floors get runners where the flooring warrants it. On a fourth-floor walk-up that is not optional.
One number, one office
The person who takes your details is the person who knows the job three weeks later. Nobody is handing you round.
Priced on the real thing
Volume, access, packing, distance. Not the time of year and not how urgent you sound.
Services
What we are asked for most often
House removals
Full household moves across DA8 and out of it — survey, pack, load, deliver, rebuild.
Flat & apartment removals
Lifts, stairwells and communal doors. The flat move done by people who have measured a lift before.
Man and van
A room, a student move, a marketplace sofa, or one heavy thing that will not fit in a car.
Packing & careful handling
All of it, some of it, or just the fragile end. Materials go back with us afterwards.
Storage
Wrapped, listed and racked indoors for the gap between completions.
European removals
Removals from Erith to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal, customs paperwork included.
Coverage
Erith & DA8 coverage
Erith sits at the middle of it. These are the places around it we work most, each with a page of its own because the access genuinely differs. Thamesmead, Abbey Wood and the Crayford edge are covered too.
How it works
Three steps, no mystery
- 01
Send the details
Both addresses, the floor at each end, and a rough list of what is going. Photos of anything awkward help more than you would think.
- 02
We look and quote
A short survey — at the flat or on a video call — then a written quote setting out crew, vehicle, packing and cover.
- 03
We move you
Crew turns up when we said, loads in a planned order, and unloads room by room so you are not opening every box to find the kettle.
Going further
Removals from Erith to Europe
Erith is well placed for a European move — the A2 and the M25 put the Kent crossings within easy reach, so the load goes out on the same vehicle that was packed at your door. Four destinations we run regularly.
Common questions
Before you get in touch
Do you actually work Erith, or just pass through it?
We work it. The crews know which side of Bexley Road you can stand a Luton on, which blocks off Erith High Street have a lift worth using, and where the riverside estates keep their loading bays. That is not something you pick up from a map.
I am on the fourth floor with a lift the size of a phone box. Can you still do it?
Yes, and it is a normal week around here. What matters is knowing beforehand, because a small lift means the wardrobe goes up the stairs and that changes the crew size. Measure the lift door if you can — it takes a second and saves an hour.
Can you do a Saturday?
Yes, and they go first. End of the month is the other pinch point. If your date is fixed, book as early as you can; if it can flex, a midweek slot is easier to get and easier to park.
Do you cover Belvedere and Slade Green too?
Yes — plus Northumberland Heath, Barnehurst, Bexleyheath and the Thamesmead edge. It is all within a few minutes of the yard, which is why small jobs out this way are worth doing properly rather than squeezing in.
Can you move us abroad, or is that a different firm?
Same firm. The load leaves Erith, runs out on the A2 and the M25 to the Kent crossings, and goes on from there. Same people packing, and the customs paperwork is prepared from the same inventory.
Next step
Tell us about your move
Send the two addresses, the floor at each end, and roughly what is going. We will come back with a written quote.
