Bexleyheath is the commercial centre of the borough and the roomiest part of the area we work. Where Erith is terraces and flats, Bexleyheath is mostly interwar semis with driveways — which makes it easy to load and, oddly, one of the bigger jobs by volume.
The parts of the town
The Broadway and the town centre
Retail, the shopping centre, and flats and offices above it. The traffic layout here is the only genuine obstacle in Bexleyheath — one-way sections, loading restrictions, and a car park system that is not designed for a Luton. We load early or we load late.
The 1930s residential streets
Upton, Crook Log, Pickford Lane and the roads either side. Bay-fronted semis with driveways and side access, wide enough hallways, and generous gardens. Straightforward loading and generous volumes — the loft is almost always part of the job.
The newer closes and cul-de-sacs
Later infill housing, often with a turning head that a large vehicle can just about use. Worth telling us if yours is tight, because a reverse down a close with cars either side costs time.

At the wrong time, yes. The shopping centre traffic and the one-way sections around the town centre make mid-morning awkward. Residential Bexleyheath is fine; it is the streets immediately around the Broadway that need an early start.
Do the 1930s semis have good access?
Generally the best on our patch. Driveways, side gates, and hallways that were built when people owned furniture. The catch is volume — these houses have full lofts and full garages, and both are usually coming.
Can you do office moves here?
Yes. There are offices above the retail on and around the Broadway, and small units on the industrial fringes. Out of hours usually makes most sense so trading stops for the least time.
How long does it take to reach you from Erith?
It is a short run up the hill, which is why we can do small Bexleyheath jobs without a dead leg eating the morning. That matters more on man-and-van work than on a full house.
