Removals in Belvedere
The next stop along the river from Erith, and a different place to work in: long straight terraced streets, estate housing on the Lower Road side, and a marshy industrial edge where the addresses get vague.
Belvedere sits between Erith and Abbey Wood, and it is one of the more consistent parts of our area: long residential streets running back from Nuxley Road, an older core near the church, and a flat industrial belt down towards the river.
What the housing is like
The terraced streets
The streets off Nuxley Road and Woolwich Road are mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces with bay fronts, narrow hallways and no off-street parking. A wardrobe does not turn at the bottom of those stairs without coming apart, which we plan for rather than discover.
The estate housing
Towards Lower Road and the Picardy side the stock changes to postwar semis and low-rise flats. Wider roads, more room to stand a vehicle, longer carries from the kerb on some of the closes.
Flats over shops and small blocks
There are a handful along Nuxley Road and near the station. Single narrow street doors, stairs only, and a pavement that is busier than it looks. These go on the flat removals plan — lift, stairwell, parking, in that order.
The industrial and riverside edge
Belvedere's northern edge runs out into the industrial estates and the marshland by the Thames. The addresses down there are genuinely hard to find — postcodes cover large areas and unit numbering is inconsistent. If you are moving a small business or clearing a unit, send a map pin rather than a postcode.
Getting in and out
Lower Road and the A2016 carry most of the traffic, feeding the A206 towards Erith and Thamesmead one way and the Dartford crossing the other. It is a reliable route in the middle of the day and a slow one at either end of it, and that goes into how we schedule the loading window.

Belvedere questions
Are the Belvedere terraces hard to park on?
The long streets off Nuxley Road fill up by mid-morning and there are very few driveways. We start early and keep the vehicle moving rather than blocking a road for three hours. It is rarely a problem; it just needs the earlier slot.
Do you go out towards the industrial side?
Yes. The addresses down towards the Lower Road and the riverside units are ones a driver will not find on a first pass, so send a what3words or a pin rather than just the postcode. It saves everybody a phone call.
Is Belvedere station area any different?
Slightly. The streets right by the station take more through traffic and parking is tighter, but the housing is the same stock as the rest. The station itself is the useful landmark for directing a crew.
Can you do the Abbey Wood and Thamesmead edge?
Yes — it borders us and we work it regularly. The newer Thamesmead blocks have proper loading arrangements, which makes them easier than most of Belvedere.
